2010 JANUARY NEWS

UPDATE ON NT 2010

FEATURES: Our feature film 'The Knot', written by Davie fairbanks and Noel Clarke is now fully packaged and it is currently doing the rounds with investors. The package even features a video interview with Noel Clarke, writer / actor on the project. Watch this space as we hope to announce positive news early in the new year.

Our other feature 'Aftermath' written by Peter Lowe is undergoing what we hope it will be its last rewrite and it will be ready to show UKFC. Our contact at premiere fund is waiting for it....fingers crossed.

Our shorts 'Conversation piece' and 'Enemy within' have started a very successful festival run. Both shorts entering several festivals and quickly establishing themselves on the international festival circuit.

In the meantime we are developing another short to be directed by 'Cinema Extreme' Jesse Lawrence and to star Junior Nunoo and Karen David from Waterloo Road and Scorpion King 2. Script written by Heather Taylor. More details soon.

On the development side we are supporting young writer Florence Codjoe with her new short 'I will offend ya', a moving portrayal of life in a young offenders institution. The short is currently in development and we are contacting youth offending teams in South London to try and finance it.

TELEVISIONOur documentary 'Uspomene' about concentration camps during the Bosnian war in the 90ies, is going from strength to strength. Director/Dop Mirko Pincelli went to Bosnia in early October and came back with some amazing footage. 3/4 hours of footage were then cut into a trailer that was shown to potential investors and co-producers at Sheffield Doc Fest. The film went down really well and gathered the support of Aegis Trust, the leading humanitarian organisation. Via our collaboration with Aegis it looks like we should be managing a meeting with broadcasters very soon.

We have trailers available for both 'Uspomene' and Tim Doubleday documentary debut as a director 'Hannah' about prospective female olympic champion boxer Hannah Beharry. Both trailers will soon be included on our web-site. We will also be attending the picthing workshop organised by Sheffield Docfest in february with 'Hannah' and 'Uspomene' so if you are there too, come and say hi.

We have also started working heavily on a couple of promising TV drama ideas.

WEB: We completed the December shoot of Cordless show, with 5 artists including FDM aka Fundamental. The December shoot scheduled for the 10th December was a great success and you can watch some of the videos on www.cordless-show.com. The shoot also included 4 virals shot on RED for one of the sponsors, Music rooms. Cordless show is directed by Stefan Yap and dop'd by Tim Doubleday. The next Cordless shoot is scheduled for the 25th January and will feature 3 indie bands. If you would liek to take part on the shoot, pls email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Another couple of ideas for web-shows are currently in development and we have great plans for at least one. More announcements soon.

MUSIC VIDEO: After completing Natalie May 'Sexy sexy', currently on rotation on MTV Base and Flava and Scarz 'Link me', selected by Flava, we are in the last days of prep for our next project for 'Smiler'. All project directed by Adam Linzey and developed under the watchful eye of our new Head of Music Video, Robert Rose.

We have also completed a video for 'Frightened rabbit' directed by Joe Tunmer and are in post for a RED video for Karen David. Both videos to be completed by end of month.

We are also already booked for another two videos before the end of the month and have two more in development. Even our junior team of directors is in overdrive with the new Supreme video 'I swear down' directed by Ryan Samuda in final stages of post and a new video directed by Ilze Kitschoff shooting this weekend. Both videos to be shot on our Ex1 + letus package and dop'd by Tim Doubleday.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE: We are officially launching our 'work experience in Media' scheme with young people from schools in Lewisham this week. The lucky young person will be able to assist the completion of the set of 'Cordless show' and perhaps even assist to a music video shoot. Any young people (14 to 19) who would like to come for work experience at new Treatment should get in touch with the office and ask for Rachel. Alternatively they may want to get in touch with Youth Services @ Lewisham.

We also continue our long running collaboration with Exposure and are developing new exciting partnerships in Lewisham. We look forward to develop this further in the new year.
